Batey, Ltd. has designed and operates a (patent pending) biomass furnace which is fitted to a specially designed heat exchanger and biomass dryer to reduce the moisture of their hardwood chips to an acceptable content. This allows Batey, Ltd. to utilize their by products in several venues, including bedding, biomass fuel, and as a fuel enhancement for fossil fuel burning facilities.

    As an additional "Green" benefit, the biomass furnace utilizes the by products of Batey, Ltd.'s sawmilling operation as its fuel source, thus eliminating the need for fossil fuels in the drying process.
