We would like to take this opportunity to introduce you to Batey Ltd.. We are a grade-lumber sawmill located south of Mt. Pleasant, Iowa, just off of highway 218. We produce approximately 8 million board feet of lumber per year with a strong emphasis on soft maple, walnut, cottonwood, red oak and white oak.

Batey Ltd. relies on over 50 years of experience in the logging and sawmill business to guide the several companies which comprise our total structure. Sawmill management supplies the workforce and management required to oversee the daily operations of the sawmill. Mulch Marketing handles the wood by-product distribution, including sawdust, mulch and wood chips, insuring total timber utilization. River Rafting is the barging operation, which allows efficient and timely removal of waterway timber and debris.

We have worked extensively with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers and the Department of Natural Resources, both in Iowa and Illinois. This includes clearing and timber stand improvement.

Our precise records allow us to follow each tree from the stump to the finished product. Monitoring the timber harvest insures the landowners receive the most profitable harvest, while maintaining a future timber crop.
